WELCOME
to the
United Dog Sports of Northern New England
(UDSNNE)
_
We are a diversified group of canine sports enthusiasts who have come together to organize United Kennel Club (UKC) events for the Southern Maine, Southern New Hampshire and Northeastern Massachusetts areas. We officially organized our club on September 16, 2012, and we were approved by the UKC approximately six months later.
We currently host conformation shows, obedience and rally trials, and weight pulls and Happy Ratters events. We have held fun matches for each event and are excited about the support we have received from long-time UKC participants as well as from those new to the events.
The United Kennel Club is all about owners and their dogs enjoying activities together to strengthen the human/canine bond. In conformation, no professional handlers are allowed. This makes for a much more relaxed and friendly atmosphere which nurtures camaraderie and friendship.
In obedience and rally, we see the teamwork of dogs and their owners as they happily complete routines requiring attention and willingness to work together.
In weight pull, we see the true devotion of our dogs as they willingly pull weights many times their own, with tails wagging furiously. Dogs new to the sport very quickly learn that WORKING is fun.
We recently added Happy Ratters in 2019 to the events we host. The Happy Ratter Philosophy - the goal is for the dog and owner to have a fun, positive and successful experience while enhancing the bond between dog and owner, and placing a high priority on safety!
We invite you to visit United Dog Sports of Northern New England frequently on FaceBook where we will post news, brags, meetings and upcoming events. And we invite you to join us at an event and/or a meeting where we know you will enjoy spending time with folks who like what you do---spending quality time with their canine companions.
